Zero-Waste Fashion

This zero-waste fashion collection was commissioned by the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art in Korea for the Fashion Ethics "Wear Good" Exhibition 2009. The work was inspired by the book The Fortune and the Bottom of the Pyramid by C.K. Prahalad. It was created without the aid of a sewing machine. It explored what is possible for a independent person to make if you were poor in the developing world and could not even afford to access a sewing machine. It adopted lace making techniques and knot theory. The collection explored drape, texture and movement through engineering textile design.
